A fashion blogger who reads - OMG! A look at My expanding fashion library

Yes, I am a stylish bookworm. I love to read about the Fashion industry and how the gurus of the industry think about what is hot and what is not. So here are a few picks from my growing fashion library!

My favorite books from my growing fashion book library are The Fairchild Dictionary of Fashion. I have the 3rd edition and it is chuck full of fashionable information. Dying to know what the proper name for your fav fashion piece- it is in The Fairchild Dictionary of Fashion. Great for any fashion blogger/lover. I use this book on a daily basis.

I also love Lloyd Boston's The Style Checklist, this book is a great guide for anyone looking to revamp their style or need to add some classics to their wardrobe. It's a great book about basic fashion looks and how to get the most out of your closet. You know that the classic white tux shirt and the LBD make a cameo in the book. I would suggest adding your own personal touches to Lloyd's tips. All in all a great book with great tips for every shape and size. Not too many books cater to all types of women.

This book has everything you need to know about blogging. If you want to be one the hottest fashion blogger in the biz, you have to know about blogging! Love No one Cares about what you had for Lunch, it is full of great tips and stories on expanding your voice. I love this book. Just a great read for all my bookworms out there.

The Business of Fashion - Designing, manufacturing, and marketing is a great textbook to learn how the industry runs.If you want to be a part of an industry, y ou should know how it is run. Reading is Fundamental. So read as much as you can; just saying.

If you are a budding fashion designer but can not sew for your fashionable life then getting Sewing for Dummies, a sewing kit from Walmart, and some fabric scraps. Fashion Design and New Fashion Figure Templates are great books on how to draw your designs properly. All of these books are great for the next Project Runway winner designer in the making. I am learning how to sew myself and think this is a great way to learn something new. Read up my future fashion designers and get to sewing. You can be the next Valentino or CoCo Chanel.

If you love taking pictures in your fav designer gear then you should definitely read Nigel book Beauty Equation. This is a great way to learn about photography from one of the best in the business. There are also some great tips on embracing your natural beauty and style from some great models and photographers. Great book Nigel!

Rant Time -Is it me or is every fashion blogger are using a posting template for their pictures? You guys know what poses I am taking about?! The classic blogger poses - Hand on Head, the fashionable squat, the awkward toes instance, and the deer in headlights look. I know I am missing a few blogger stance but you get the picture- no pun intended. Creativity is good. Being different and unique is what people are looking for. So please my fellow bloggers, be yourself, diversify your poses, and Oh yeah -smile!
