My favorite looks from Fashion Week..so far Pt II

I love Milan fashion week. Maybe it is because it was in Milan, Italy, the city which I was named after ,well kinda, or maybe it has to do with Milan being one of the biggest fashion capitals of the world. One of my favorite designers from Milan fashion week was Iceberg Fall 2011 Ready to Wear Collection. I love this collection. It has tons of great look and touches of color.

I love this dress. It is wearable, fresh and bold. The shoes are sickness too. I would wear this walking down Mercer street in Soho, NYC

Pantsuits are back and everyone and their mothers will be wearing.
I know that everyone is going to wear jumpsuits but please stick with being original. Jumpsuit does not look great on everyone.

I love the color combination in this ensemble especially this orange blazer. Adding color to a neutral outfit adds excitement to your look. Be Bold - Add some color!

This reminds me of my mom in the 70's but with a modern twist. The shoes are great. Love the oversize frames. I had a feeling this look will be making its way back to the retail racks. The Iceberg collection is a great collection to bad you have to be in Europe to get it!

A fashion blogger who reads - OMG! A look at My expanding fashion library

Yes, I am a stylish bookworm. I love to read about the Fashion industry and how the gurus of the industry think about what is hot and what is not. So here are a few picks from my growing fashion library!

My favorite books from my growing fashion book library are The Fairchild Dictionary of Fashion. I have the 3rd edition and it is chuck full of fashionable information. Dying to know what the proper name for your fav fashion piece- it is in The Fairchild Dictionary of Fashion. Great for any fashion blogger/lover. I use this book on a daily basis.

I also love Lloyd Boston's The Style Checklist, this book is a great guide for anyone looking to revamp their style or need to add some classics to their wardrobe. It's a great book about basic fashion looks and how to get the most out of your closet. You know that the classic white tux shirt and the LBD make a cameo in the book. I would suggest adding your own personal touches to Lloyd's tips. All in all a great book with great tips for every shape and size. Not too many books cater to all types of women.

This book has everything you need to know about blogging. If you want to be one the hottest fashion blogger in the biz, you have to know about blogging! Love No one Cares about what you had for Lunch, it is full of great tips and stories on expanding your voice. I love this book. Just a great read for all my bookworms out there.

The Business of Fashion - Designing, manufacturing, and marketing is a great textbook to learn how the industry runs.If you want to be a part of an industry, y ou should know how it is run. Reading is Fundamental. So read as much as you can; just saying.

If you are a budding fashion designer but can not sew for your fashionable life then getting Sewing for Dummies, a sewing kit from Walmart, and some fabric scraps. Fashion Design and New Fashion Figure Templates are great books on how to draw your designs properly. All of these books are great for the next Project Runway winner designer in the making. I am learning how to sew myself and think this is a great way to learn something new. Read up my future fashion designers and get to sewing. You can be the next Valentino or CoCo Chanel.

If you love taking pictures in your fav designer gear then you should definitely read Nigel book Beauty Equation. This is a great way to learn about photography from one of the best in the business. There are also some great tips on embracing your natural beauty and style from some great models and photographers. Great book Nigel!

Rant Time -Is it me or is every fashion blogger are using a posting template for their pictures? You guys know what poses I am taking about?! The classic blogger poses - Hand on Head, the fashionable squat, the awkward toes instance, and the deer in headlights look. I know I am missing a few blogger stance but you get the picture- no pun intended. Creativity is good. Being different and unique is what people are looking for. So please my fellow bloggers, be yourself, diversify your poses, and Oh yeah -smile!

My favorite looks from Fashion Week..so far

Rodarte

When I saw the Rodarte collection on Style.com, I feel in love. The use of cream colored prairie coats with tab collars and draped crossover necklines make the collection look crisp and posh. the coats, in my opinion, are the must-see items for this collection.

Charlotte Ronson
Charlotte Ronson show was great. Saw it on good old Youtube! I see that a high-class grunge look is emerging for the fall. Interesting.... I do love the prints and the jackets in the collection.

This look is so NYC! Love the jacket. You can never go wrong with a motorcycle jacket.

Lipstick and Luxury & the Kaelen Fashion Show!

I got to attend a great event at NYFW for LipstickandLuxury.com. I loved Kaelen Show. I wrote a fabulous article about it on LipstickandLuxury.com so go and Check it out! Here is some exclusive video of the show and some pics of my favorite looks from the Fall 2011 collection.

One of my must have from the collection is the printed dress. Absolutely love that look.

I want this coat!

I love the knits in the collection. This item would be great for any size.
Anyone can pull this casual RTW look off!

Again make sure you click yourself over to LipstickandLuxury.com and check out my entire review and pictures of the entire collection. Thanks, Nicole of LipstickandLuxury.com for the opportunity.
